Reserve Carbon Rims

I’m proud to be a Reserve wheels dealer and as such are delighted to be able to provide Reserve carbon rims as a build option to you. For a long time it’s been my carbon mtb rim of choice from the early Santa Cruz branded rims to the re brand of Reserve wheels.

With the high quality finish to their lifetime warranty they’re brilliant… they aren’t the cheapest carbon rim on the market, nor are they the most expensive, they’re just very good at what they do.

They do several mtb options to cater for all needs…

The “28” is a XC rim, its 28mm internal width, 24h only and weighing in at a mere 385g!

So building a 1600g wheel set is easily achievable.

If racing is your thing or you’re a lightweight whippet that enjoys old school mtb trails then this is the rim for you.

Next up is the 30SL, slightly wider rim at 30mm, subsequently a little heavier at 440g a rim and 28h only.

These are great allrounder rims, maybe a bit of racing, maybe general trail riding, with the odd day at the bike park…

If you’re on something 130-150mm travel either end then these are definitely worth a look.

If you’re looking for a burly 30mm rim then the 30HD is the one… Probably the most common reserve rim and ultimately based on the original Santa Cruz Reserve rim.

They come in at 480g per rim and are a couple of millimetre deeper than the SL at 21mm deep but with the same 28h spoke count.

Perfect for those 150-170mm bikes.

Finally theres the DH. It’s big, burly and if you break one, I feel for whatever you hit.

Coming in at 564g per rim, these are 32h only and make the perfect DH or E-bike rim.

These come standard on the high end Santa Cruz E-Bikes and for good reason!

If you’re looking at a set of Reserve rims, perhaps you already have a suitable pair of hub or you want a hub that Reserve don’t supply then give us a bell and I’ll sort out a lovely pair of of wheels for you.
